Julia Romero, CD

Julia is a Registered Nurse (RN)  and has been a birth worker since 2017 when she discovered her passion for women’s health in a college course entitled “Childbirth in America”.

She became an advocate for birthing women and their partners, in and out of the hospital setting, and started on the path to becoming a nurse midwife. Julia works as a Labor and Delivery nurse in the DC area and is working towards her lactation consultant credential. She has special interests in lactation, babywearing, sleep training, sibling support (both human and canine), and helping to establish flexible, lasting routines for new parents. Julia has experience working with fragile newborns and their specific feeding needs.

Julia is available to your family for postpartum support. She speaks English, Spanish, and conversational Turkish.

Julia lives with her husband and two parrots in Northern Virginia. She enjoys indoor rock climbing, cooking, and camping with friends.
