While Birth You Desire is not a HIPAA-covered entity under federal law, we voluntarily apply HIPAA-informed privacy principles as a best practice to protect client information.

In the course of providing doula services, education, and consulting, we may collect personal and health-related information, including but not limited to:

- Pregnancy and birth preferences

- General health information shared voluntarily

- Intake forms and service-related notes

This information is collected solely to support client care, education, and service delivery.

How Your Information is Used

Not Medical Care

Doulas at Birth You Desire, while acting as doulas only provide educational, emotional, and non-medical support only. Doulas do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Clients are encouraged to consult licensed medical providers for medical care and decisions.
