Depending on your provider and birth location, your birth plan will be either welcomed and encouraged or overlooked and underappreciated. A birth plan is a wish list of birth preferences. An ideal snapshot of how you would like your birth to play out in the best possible way. It is not a list of demands or an absolute plan.

A recent article caught my eye as it was discussing 13 pains that are worse than childbirth which got me to thinking about how prepared or unprepared women and their partners are for birth. And how their preparation may influence their birth choices and outcomes.
